Can I wet apply 50WD Clear/White which has waterbased adhesive?

What is the difference between waterbased and solvent based acrylic adhesives?

It's best to dry apply waterbased adhesive product because water will dissolve the adhesive and make it cloudy and could cause adhesive to delaminate from the film during repositioning. If customer must wet apply 4500G clear with solvent based is a better solution. Water will not react with solventbased adhesives.

Similar to paint systems, water and solvent are carriers for the acrylic adhesive so that it can be coated to the desired thickness on to the film and oven cured to dry off the liquid.

It is not recommended to wet apply products with water-based adhesive such as DPF 50WD Clear and White because water will interfere with the bond build of adhesive to the substrate i.e glass. It will also make the adhesive cloudy because water is reaction with the adhesive emulsion.
