Can you use matte or satin overlaminate on reflective?
Matte and Satin finish laminates are not recommended because they will interfere with the reflected light and reduce light reflectivity significantly. Gloss laminate works best with reflective film.
Matte and Satin overlaminates (ie: Series 3220) will laminate fine onto Arlon reflective products (2400/2400XLP/IllumiNITE) but will reduce the brightness of the reflected light. Due to the finish, satin/matte reduces the amount of light that reflects back. Thus, only GLOSS overlaminates are recommended for protecting any reflective films.
