Note that color representation from printed swatches is intended as a starting reference and may not exactly match pigmented films from the get-go. Due to fundamental differences between digitally printed color and manufactured film pigmentation, multiple iterations and adjustments may be required to achieve an acceptable visual match.

Final appearance can vary based on several factors, including but not limited to:

  • Overlaminate type and finish, which can introduce visible color shift or tonal change
  • Printer condition, calibration, and environmental variables
  • Base media characteristics (e.g., gloss level, whiteness, film type)
  • RIP settings and ICC color profiles used during printing

Lamination and finishing processes may alter how light interacts with the printed image, resulting in perceptible differences between unlaminated prints, laminated graphics, and pigmented films.

For best results, ensure all equipment and profiles are properly calibrated to the print media. And then get customer's final approval after visually inspecting a sample prior to full-scale production.
