There are several ways to work around this problem and solutions varies depending on the cutter type.
- If applicable, increase the sensitivity of mark detection. Some cutters have a reflective and chrome setting.
- Put a matte overlam or translucent tape over the registration marks only ( Mutoh cutters)
- Turn off the ambient lighting around the cutter
- Carefully and manually draw the registration marks with sharpie
