How does one recover missing nozzles on Mutoh printeads after a head strike to vinyl?
1. Purge the head with cleaning solution. If that doesn't work soak the printhead in cleaning solution.
A: One thing to check is that the maintenance station is pulling ink through. This can be done by watching the waste line that leads to the waste bottle during an entire long cleaning process to see if any ink moves through the system. If you see ink moving through the waste line through that process then the maintenance station would probably be ok so if a head soak did not recover the nozzles then it may be that the head needs to be replaced.
