Omni Cast Wrap - Adhesive & Liner Management

The Adhesive Advantage

Two key characteristics make the Omni Cast Wrap adhesive uniquely versatile:

  1. Balanced tack level
  2. Soft adhesive construction

Understanding surface energy is crucial to appreciating why this matters.

  • Walls are typically low-energy surfaces, meaning they require a more aggressive adhesive to achieve proper adhesion.
  • Vehicles, in contrast, are high-energy surfaces and benefit from a less aggressive, repositionable adhesive that allows installers to work efficiently.

Omni Cast Wrap strikes the ideal balance. Its adhesive is aggressive enough to bond securely to wall surfaces, yet repositionable enough to allow clean, controlled installation on vehicles—whether for a full wrap or smaller decals. This “sweet spot” is what makes it truly multipurpose.

Adhesive & Liner Management

With a medium-tack adhesive, handling technique matters.

When Installing on Walls:

  1. Always perform an adhesion test to confirm compatibility with the painted surface.
  2. When positioning panels, expose slightly more adhesive than usual at the top using a liner cutter.
  3. Apply firm, consistent squeegee pressure.
  4. If the wall surface is cold, apply gentle heat to improve initial bond.

When Installing on Vehicles:

The approach is the opposite:

  • Keep the liner in place as much as possible.
  • Expose minimal adhesive at a time.
  • Work in controlled sections for large panels.
  • Use a liner cutter to assist with progressive installation.

These techniques maximize control and repositionability during installation.
