We are currently designing an exhibition & we need some solutions for our prints. Can we use 8000 White on frehsly painted walls?

Can one use DPF 8000 white on freshly painted walls? We plan to install 2 days after painting. Would that be good? Would that stick to the wall or fall down?

It is a bad idea to install any graphics on freshly painted walls due to the solvent in the paint will form bubbles behind the 8000 over time with heat and temperature. It may fall off the wall.

Solution:

  1. Depending on the paint system (waterbased or solvent based), paint needs to outgas based on manufacturer's recommended time + 1-2 weeks depending on the weather conditions. For summertime additional 1 week and for winter time additional 2 weeks.
  2. Besides proper paint drying process, it's important to test and make sure 8000 and painted wall is compatible.
