What are the difference between 7/11 and 6/6 conspicuity tapes?
The 7/11 pattern was developed to assure under reflected light the white portion would not overpower the red. As the red is a more saturated color and absorbs more light under retro-reflection the standard tried to compensate so the red and white looked uniform/even under reflected light.
