Will 3220 Matte overlaminate retain the reflective properties of reflective vinyl?
No. Matte or satin finish overlaminate film will interfere with the reflective beads and reduce light reflectivity significantly. Gloss laminate works best with reflective film.
I am doing some reflective fleet graphics for some law enforcement vehicles. The Sheriff want?s to have a matte finish on the decals. I want to stay with reflective material. I currently print the decals using 3M IJ680CR vinyl with your 3210 gloss overlam. If I were to use your 3220 Matte overlam with the reflective vinyl, will I retain any of the reflective properties of the vinyl? Also, could you please send me a sample of your 3220 Matte overlam so that I can do a sample print for the Sheriff? I use 54? material. Your assistance with this is greatly appreciated.
